Twenty USW 9490 members departed from Alma, Quebec on May 1, 2012 to do a 209 kilometres relay on foot to reach the steps of the National Assembly in Quebec City to deliver a petition to Quebec legislators.

On Saturday, April 21, 200 women (wives, friends, sisters, mothers, daughters of locked-out USW 9490 members) joined the locked-out RTA workers to show their support and solidarity, wearing special pink t-shirts designed for the occasion.
